Chris Oppenheimer, Founder and CEO“In rehab, they handed me antidepressants and anxiety medication; something I had never taken before,” Oppenheimer recalls. “I had come in expecting to detox, and the pills just didn’t sit right with me. So, each day, I would spit them out. It felt like I was being asked to rely on the very kinds of solutions that had contributed to the situation that got me here in the first place.”
It wasn’t just the medication that felt misaligned; it was the entire framework. Why were people taught to numb their pain instead of learning to understand it? Why was a plant that offered clarity and reconnection still shrouded in stigma?
Those questions became fuel as Oppenheimer began exploring the science, history and potential of hemp as a true wellness tool.
In 2019, he founded Botany Scientifics, a holistic wellness company. The name signaled a commitment rooted in science and soil. Its logo—a cross with a leaf—spoke to a guiding belief that real recovery starts beneath the surface, where most people never think to look. That belief was put to the test almost immediately. Botany Scientifics’ first batch of products tested positive for contaminants. The team discovered that minor impurities from the hay, used on the crop by its farm partners, had compromised its quality, forcing them to restart sourcing and production from the ground up. Instead of sinking into grief, Oppenheimer took a defining lesson from that devastating loss.
“At that moment, one thought kept coming back to me: soil first, plant second, community always,” he says.
Today, that early lesson shapes how Botany Scientifics chooses its harvest partners. It works in an FDA-compliant facility and vets the farms it sources from. If the results don’t meet the standards, the team walks away, even if it means rejecting an entire harvest. Once raw material arrives, Botany’s team formulates products with scientific precision, ensuring every dose is consistent and reliable.
A Mission Rooted in Experience
Botany Scientifics supports health like a system. The health of the soil directly affects the potency and balance of the plant. That awareness shaped his respect for careful sourcing, but his focus today is on delivering precise, consistent doses every time.
“I knew that for hemp to truly make a difference, we had to get dosing right,” Oppenheimer says. “When people take our products, they know exactly how much they’re getting every single time, just like they would with medication.”
Once the plant reaches full maturity, full-spectrum extracts are processed to preserve the natural harmony of cannabinoids and terpenes. Each formulation is precisely dosed, third-party tested and accompanied by a certificate of analysis, ensuring customers know exactly what they’re getting and why it works.
Oppenheimer’s father, a Vietnam War veteran, was the company’s earliest success story. After years of managing the harsh side effects of prescription medications, he found relief through Botany Scientifics’ formulations. Though he eventually passed from cancer linked to Agent Orange exposure, the relief he found through carefully dosed full-spectrum hemp products left a lasting impression. It deepened his belief in soil, plants and science.
Fair pricing and transparent discounts, free from ‘holiday only’ sales gimmicks and subscription traps, help build trust in the brand
That mission has become even more deeply interwoven, as Oppenheimer’s mother stepped in full-time. A cancer survivor and seasoned entrepreneur, she had weathered her own storms and brought with her a quiet strength shaped by decades of experience. In her early years, she was mentored by the legendary Mary Kay Ash, a woman who believed in leading with faith, lifting others and building businesses that served a higher purpose. At the age of 79, Oppenheimer’s mother carries those lessons into her family, into her work and into Botany Scientifics. While the industry may be undergoing rapid shifts, her steady presence ensures the company remains anchored in what matters most: integrity, care and a belief that guidance, like family, must be nurtured from the roots up.
A Business that Puts People First
Many customers turn to hemp as a last resort and aren’t sure where to begin. To make that first step easier, Botany Scientifics has created a step-by-step dosage guide that walks people through the process. It helps them start small, listen to their body and then adjust their dose gradually until they find what works best.

To extend that hands-on support, it created “Ask Ashley,” a free feature on the website where customers can ask anything and everything about products or even find the right dose to taper off prescription medications.
A Medical Advisory Board and consortium, made up of professionals who understand clinical care and plant-based health solutions, is also being formed, which will provide credible, evidence-backed guidance.
Attention to what people really need is at the heart of Botany Scientifics, shaping every product it creates. Capsules come in a precise 25 milligram dose for consistent daily use, and tinctures allow flexible dosing at 50, 75 or 100 mg to suit different needs. “Sleep Gummies and Delta-8 Gummies” help those struggling with rest and calm, while “Classic Gummies” remain approachable and easy to take on the go. Each has been refined through years of customer feedback to deliver reliable results. Even the company’s tagline of “Soil. Plants. Community.” printed on 100% Hemp Tote reflects the pride many customers feel in being part of a mission-driven brand.Loyalty over Shortcuts
Botany Scientifics business model is built to reward loyalty and strengthen local communities rather than chase quick wins.
That commitment shows up in the pricing. Customers who shop at local stores automatically receive 20 percent off, while bulk purchases come with a 33 percent discount. Fair pricing and transparent discounts, free from ‘holiday only’ sales gimmicks and subscription traps, help build trust in the brand.
Botany Scientifics also avoids pushy email blasts and rigid auto-ship policies. Instead, it invites customers to reach out on their own terms—whether to ask questions, offer feedback or simply share their story. An affiliate program extends that relationship, giving loyal customers the chance to earn residual income through authentic engagement.
Turning Feedback into Formulas
The best innovations don’t begin in a lab. They start with listening. At Botany Scientifics, every new idea is rooted in honest conversations with customers. One of its most anticipated releases in the fall, the Grounded High-End Mushroom blend, is a direct result of that approach. By combining premium mushroom extracts with cannabinoids, the formulation is designed to support balance and restore a more profound sense of well-being. It took three years of refinement, testing, and consideration to offer an integrative path forward, and its only the beginning.
With more botanical and cannabinoid blends in the pipeline, Botany Scientifics continues to explore how nature’s compounds can work in synergy. Its growing network of local retail partners makes access easier, without compromising on quality or transparency. That commitment shows in the trust customers place in the brand and in the stories they share about the lives these products continue to transform. For instance, a young woman, the daughter of a longtime family friend, struggled with seizures. Working closely with her doctor and with guidance from Botany Scientifics, she found her therapeutic dose of hemp and has now been seizure-free for over a year without the medications.
Stories like hers come in often. People living with anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain or heart disease who were tired of the cycle of prescriptions and side effects, reach out to say they finally feel like themselves again. Some call it getting their life back. Others say it feels like coming home. For Botany Scientifics, those stories of people realizing what real support feels like are the reason why it exists.
Always Choosing Care Over Convenience
Oppenheimer and his mother know what it looks like when care disappears. They have witnessed it at home, in hospitals and in moments most companies never see. That’s why they’ve set out to ensure that no customer ever feels like just another transaction.
Through it all, the mission stays the same. Fix the soil, grow the plant and guide the person. It’s a simple idea, but it’s the one that took Botany Scientifics this far and will carry them into whatever comes next.
At the end of the day, hemp isn’t just a trend. It’s an evidence-backed way for people to take back their health, step by step, with confidence. And Botany Scientifics is showing customers what true care and guidance feels like, in every field, every bottle and every drop, it stands behind.
What Buyers Should Examine in Full Spectrum Hemp Products
A few years ago, hemp wellness products could earn shelf space with little more than clean packaging and a decent CBD claim. That window closed fast. Retailers now deal with customers who have already tried ineffective tinctures, mislabeled gummies or capsules that produced completely different experiences from one bottle to the next. Many stores became cautious after spending too much time refunding products they did not formulate and explaining products they did not fully trust.
The problem is not demand. Consumers still want plant-based wellness options and many are willing to pay for quality. The issue is fatigue. Too many brands entered the market chasing quick revenue without building reliable sourcing standards or clear usage guidance. Buyers have become more skeptical because the damage lands on the retailer first. Once customer confidence disappears, repeat traffic usually disappears with it.
That shift has pushed sourcing conversations deeper into the buying process. Retail teams want to know where hemp is grown, what shows up in third-party testing and how closely a company monitors production before products ever reach a shelf. A clean certificate of analysis matters, though experienced buyers no longer treat it as the entire story. They have seen compliant paperwork attached to products that still created customer complaints later. Consistency carries more weight than flashy cannabinoid percentages.
Dosage communication has become another dividing line. Many brands still market hemp products in oversized numbers that sound impressive online but make little sense in daily use. Customers often walk into stores confused about serving sizes, timing or how different formulations should fit into their routine. That confusion usually lands on sales staff already juggling dozens of wellness products across multiple categories. Retailers increasingly prefer suppliers that help simplify those conversations instead of complicating them further.
Store owners are also watching pricing behavior much more closely than before. Independent retailers have grown tired of acting as unpaid educators while consumers scan products in-store and purchase them cheaper online a few hours later. Several hemp companies damaged retail relationships by promoting wholesale partnerships while constantly discounting products through direct channels. Buyers remember that. A supplier may have a strong product line, though pricing instability can quietly kill long-term placement opportunities.
The brands holding attention now tend to operate with more restraint. Buyers are responding better to companies focused on repeat use products rather than constant cannabinoid trend launches. Capsules, tinctures and straightforward wellness blends generally create steadier customer retention than novelty products tied to short-lived market hype. Retailers want products customers understand well enough to buy again without another twenty-minute explanation at the counter.
Botany Scientifics enters the conversation from a noticeably different angle than many hemp wellness companies. Its approach centers heavily on full spectrum formulations, dosage familiarity and customer education rather than rapid product expansion. The company places visible emphasis on certificate-backed products and routine-use formats including capsules and tinctures designed for everyday wellness use. It also maintains pricing practices aimed at protecting local retail relationships instead of pulling customers away through aggressive online discounting. That structure lines up closely with what many independent retailers now value most: product consistency, straightforward guidance and a supplier that treats long-term trust as part of the business model rather than a marketing slogan.
